Biography:
Joseph, a self trained chef, was born and raised in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. At a young age, he was exposed to a style of cooking that fused unique Persian culture and traditional Italian influences which created flavorful masterpieces.

From early on, Joseph knew he enjoyed creating food to please his friends and family. His first memories of food revolved around his family kitchen and the home cooking of his mother and grandfather. For Joseph, cooking simply runs in the family.

Taking advice from his mother, Joseph decided to make sure he would like working in a professional kitchen, so he applied for the job as a prep cook at an Italian restaurant in New York City. That was when Joseph realized his true passion for cooking and his professional career was born.
Joseph serves high quality regional American cuisine, as well as Middle Eastern, and Italian food based on fresh ingredients from the farmers market and local farmers.

Joseph feels that “cooking is not a science, it’s an art.”
His culinary journey lead him to Montecito where he now works as private chef for local families in the area. He is also a cooking instructor for community classes in Santa Barbara.

Outside of creating culinary works of art, Joseph enjoys traveling and sampling cuisines abroad, spending time outdoors, and is an avid road biker.
