Melody    Biography | Testimonials


Biography:
Melody is a personal trainer who holds a certification with the National Association of Sports Medicine. She is a graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is currently studying with Lifestyle Management Associates to obtain her Nutrition Specialist Certification.

Developing fun, creative and thorough fitness programs is a priority for Melody. This approach encourages her clients and helps them understand, and reach, their fitness potential and wellness goals. An appreciation of the process is essential to fitness success as well. Melody always takes time to explain each exercise and work through each detail of the program in order for her clients to have a solid understanding of the effects. Melody ensures that each workout is unique and challenging, to alleviate any routine or boredom. This technique has proven extremely motivating and keeps her clients’ attention and commitment. Finally, balance is the foundation of her tailored programs and she works to develop increased strength, power, agility and flexibility. By placing importance on proper physical education, while still having fun, Melody eliminates the typical feelings of intimidation and encourages clients to play an interactive role in the fitness process.

Melody’s interest in health and fitness stems from her lifetime passion for athletics and her involvement in competitive beach volleyball tournaments. In 2005, she was selected to compete in the World Maccabiah games in Netanya, Israel where she won a bronze medal for the American beach volleyball team. Three years later, Melody earned another medal for the American team while playing in the Maccabiah Pan American games held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Throughout her life, Melody has always participated in athletics and fitness and thrives when engaged in outdoor activities. While training for beach volleyball tournaments she realized the importance of hard work and exercise. From this realization she cultivated her passion into training and promoting client’s own healthy lifestyles.

When not training, Melody is regularly hiking, biking, swimming, practicing yoga, and, of course, playing beach volleyball.
